2025 AU4 Championship’s new dual-class lineup to launch at The Bend Motorsport Park

07/03/25: The highly-anticipated 2025 AU4 Championship, featuring for the first time both the 2015 Gen1 Mygale and the latest 2022 Gen2 Tatuus F4-T421 Abarth race cars, will drop the flag for 2025 at The Bend Motorsport Park on May 23-25.

Sydney-based AGI Sport, the series promoter and a leading force in developing Australian racing talent, continues to provide drivers from just 14 years of age local with local and international experience, competing in major F4 Championships across Asia, the UAE, the Middle East, and North America. Most recently, the team and the majority of its Tatuus F4 cars, a model widely used in over half of the 20 FIA Formula 4 Championships worldwide including the prestigious all-female F1 Academy series, participated in the UAE F4 Trophy Series including the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 support race at Yas Marina Circuit last December.

However, due to ongoing international shipping delays, particularly through key Asian ports, AGI Sport's critical race equipment including four new Tatuus F4-T421 cars, spare parts, and operational gear has been held up in Port Klang, Malaysia, for over a month, hampering some drivers' plans for the start of the 2025 season.

In response, AU4 Championship organisers, in collaboration with Motorsport Australia and the Australian Racing Drivers’ Club (ARDC), has adjusted the 2025 season schedule. The 2025 AU4 Championship will now officially begin at The Bend Motorsport Park on May 23-25, and the planned March round at Sydney Motorsport Park will be moved to the National Round at the same venue in late August.

“The unique dual-class lineup and a healthy grid will make for an exciting 2025 AU4 Championship, and this adjustment ensures that AGI Sport and other competing teams have their full complement of equipment in time for the season’s start,” said Series Manager and AGI Sport team owner Adam Gotch.

“Despite the logistical challenges, our team remains committed to delivering top-tier performance on the international stage, including on home soil, and we appreciate the cooperation of all parties involved to meet this challenge. We all are looking forward to an exciting evolution of the AU4 championship, starting at The Bend in May.”

AGI Sport has confirmed a range of prizes for the winner of the Junior Cup for First Generation Mygale F4 cars, and the outright National championship for the Second Generation Tatuus F4. 

Mygale Gen 1 – Junior Cup

o   The winner of the Gen1 class in 2025 will receive free entry into the Gen2 class for the following season AND

o   A free full test day in a Tatuus Gen2.

Tatuus Gen2 – Outright Championship 

o   Winner of the Gen2 class will receive a free test in the United States with a Championship winning team in USA Formula 4 & USA Formula Regional.

·        2 x Test days in a US F4 car in Dallas, Texas – OCT/NOV 2025

OR

§  Option 2: 

·        1 x Test Day in a US F4 car in Dallas, Texas – OCT/NOV 2025, and
