PRESS RELEASE: KILLION CROWNED AU4 CHAMPION FOLLOWING TENSE SYDNEY SHOWDOWN
September 29, 2025: AGI Sport’s Noah Killion has claimed the 2025 Motorsport Australia AU4 Championship, sealing the Gen2 title at Sydney Motorsport Park last weekend in his debut season of car racing. The 15-year-old capped off the campaign with a decisive performance in the fifth and final round, overcoming both rivals and race drama to secure the crown.
The stage was set heading into the weekend with the championship finely poised. After Round 4 in August, Volante Rosso’s Isaac McNeill held a slender four-point lead over Killion on raw points.
However, with drivers required to drop their worst three results, the balance tipped in Killion’s favour, giving him a six-point advantage heading into Round 5. Under clear skies at Sydney Motorsport Park, Killion dominated the opening race, taking a convincing victory in Race 1 ahead of Tim Macrow Racing’s Harrison Duske, with Isaac McNeill finishing third. The race was interrupted for five laps under full yellow flags following a high-speed collision, when Chloe Lane (Gen2, Tim Macrow Racing) went wide under the bridge and collected Koby Wilson (Gen1, AGI Sport).
Killion then navigated a drama-filled Race 2, taking the win again despite another five laps under the safety car. While the results aped Race 1 with Killion, Duske and McNeill in first to third, McNeill seemed to be fighting for the pace he has shown throughout the year. Four other drivers failed to finish the race; a high-speed off at Turn 1 for Jesse-James Samuels saw the AGI Sport team pull off a mammoth effort to repair three corners of car, pushing it out to pit lane with 11 minutes to the next race start.
Race 3 brought further high drama when Killion clashed with Duske at turn 2 while fighting for the race lead. Duske, who was also in the hunt for third place in the Gen2 Championship, was turned around and rejoined in last place, while Killion recovered and started to chase new leader Mc Neill and Cohen Kokovich (AGI Sport). As the minutes counted down, McNeill was losing rear grip and Kokotovich had a look to the inside from Turn 1 to 2 which resulted in a bent front wing, requiring a nose change. Killion snapped up the advantage and worked into the lead with less than four minutes remaining in the race to take the chequered flag.
Post-race penalties to address the clash with Duske reshuffled the order, dropping Killion down the order and moving Brock Burton (Tim Macrow Racing), Imogen Radburn (AGI Sport) and Chloen Lane into the podium positions. However as McNeill finished the last race in fourth, Killion’s results across the round still confirmed him as Gen2 champion ahead of McNeill and Duske.
In the Gen1 field, Andrew Fitzpatrick (Fitzpatrick Racing) dominated the Sydney round with three wins, ahead of De’argo Stewart (Tim Macrow Racing) and Samuels in Race 1, Kobe Wilson and Jamie-Lee Su (AGI Sport) in Race 2 and Xavier Babbage-Hocke (AGI Sport) and Wilson in the final race. The round podium went Fitzpatrick, Su and Wilson. However, he could not deny Jenson Marold for the outright Championship; Marold already secured the Gen1 crown at last month’s SMSP round.
Marold’s title comes with free entry into Gen2 for 2026 and a full test day in a Tatuus F4-TA21. Killion’s Gen2 victory also unlocks a coveted prize: a test with a championship-winning team in the United States. Killion can choose either two test days in a US Formula 4 car in Dallas, Texas, or a combined program of one day in F4 followed by a day in a Formula Regional (F3) car, and offering a direct pathway to the international motorsport.
